  1. Knowing the history of an organization and what it does and what its values are is critical when interviewing for a job. Two weeks ago I met with an executive from ESPN Radio who said that if a potential candidate was unfamiliar with what ESPN Radio does, he will immediately disregard this person. Researching a potential job and gaining knowledge about it is a crucial aspect in the interviewing and hiring process.
