For many of many of us, salary negotiations are anxiety-provoking. Often, we don’t fully know what we are worth. And/or we have low self-confidence about discussing our compensation. A few months ago, we offered salary negotiation tips. Today, we examine a great tool for salary negotiations.
From the Wall Street Journal: A Great Tool for Salary Negotiations
In this discussion, we cover the Wall Street Journal’s new interactive tool for salary negotiations. It represents a terrific way to engage in a customized salary discussion. And the tool offers good advice:
This interactive guide draws on tips and advice from experts contained in two WSJ articles (here and here). It simulates a conversation that will help you practice how to negotiate a job offer. Start the experience by pressing the “Tell Taylor about the job” button below. The chatbot uses the text you enter to make its replies.
The following chart highlights the salary negotiation tool. While showing how it works. To access the tool, click the image and then “Tell Taylor About the Job.” You will be asked a series of questions that will guide you through the process. In addition, you will receive tips. In fact, you may use the tool more than once. Just answer the questions under different scenarios. [Note: Evans on Marketing tried out the tool and found it extremely useful. You should, too. 🙂 ]
