4 Apr

One of the world’s great advertising agencies, J. Walter Thompson Company LLC,  is now being headed by a womanTamara Ingram — for the first time.

As reported by Lindsay Stein for Advertising Age:

“J. Walter Thompson Co.’s new worldwide CEO has an impressive track record, a wealth of experience leading global teams, and is a former Ad Age Woman to Watch. With the appointment, Ms. Ingram becomes one of the rare women sitting atop a major ad agency. Since 2015, Ms. Ingram has overseen 45 global account teams, which made up one-third of the holding company’s $20 billion of revenue and included more than 38,000 staffers working on the accounts.”

“Her team building and client handling skills are well known. In 2007 (while working for Grey Global), she was named president-CEO of Team P&G, a company she previously told Ad Age with which she was ‘passionately in love.’ She said at the time: ‘I like their human values. They want to make the world a bit better with their products. They are excited by innovation and changing things.’ As the leader of Team P&G she was responsible for $1 billion in business across 40 agencies. Ms. Ingram also concurrently served as exec VP-exec managing director of Grey Global Group.”

A successful management result to a successful operating team that provide better work for a company to become more successful at selling his inventories. If Tamarra ingram was named CEO of team P&G and also served as a director manager at the exec VP-exec, it’s because she has a good skill at planning, organizing, leading and controlling a company’s operation. If these five functions of managing is applied correctly during the operating process of an organization there is no doubt that the company will become successful. This can prevent ethical issues in an organization and make many employees follow the code of conduct of managers. Which will provide a better and safe environment for a company’s internal workers. If a company always has ethical issues it is because of a bad leadership of the manager. But if the operation of a company is always positive the company will always make good revenues. If Tamarra ingram was named president CEO, she probably knows how to cooperate with others and create a good working environment with less ethical issues.

It is a great news! The women leading JWT LLC now that will help this company more in the future with her previous experiences. She has unique ideas and advanced views. Tamara must be more careful for this position since there are more responsibility for her. The world has been control by man. I feel happy every time women can get the position like man.

It’s so great to see a woman earning a position that she worked so hard for. As a young woman, it’s inspiring to see that other women are being recognized for their achievements and dedication to a company. I too would like to be an executive one day and in a society where men still hold a large portion of executive positions, it’s exciting and motivating to see a woman among them.

Though I am a male, I am glad to see that more and more excellent women become leader. Compared to male, women are more attentive and good at communication. These characteristics are full of their work and life. With the development of society and the advancement of science and technology, these characteristics of women are becoming more and more importment and that is the reason why there are more and more excellent women become leaders.

Being a male, it is great to see that many women are becoming leaders and executives. It is inspiring to see them be recognized for all the hard work they do. I remember watching a documentary on BBC, and the director said that Ripley’s role (and others in the script) were originally gender neutral. At one point they said, “Why not make Ripley a woman?” and it made the movie. Maybe more scripts should be written with gender neutral roles all the way to casting. Let the best person for the role land the part, regardless of gender.

This is a great story, because she is very qualified for this job and it shows that jwt does not discriminate against their employees. Ms. Ingram is a great role model.

I think this is a great opportunity for JWT to demonstrate how their company is taking strides in aiding to women equality in the work force. Having such a powerful woman in charge gives hope to those women who are striving to compete in a male dominant work force. Sometimes all you need is a little inspiration to spark the drive in yourself to follow your dreams, regardless of gender.

A woman in charge. I like the sound of that. It’s incredible how much she has done and experienced at J. Walter Thompson Company. This shows how anyone can do anything they want and achieve their dreams, no matter what gender, race, age, etc. What’s important trying to achieve that high level position in a firm, is to make sure you like and get along with the people at that firm. Not only that, but you also have similar values and beliefs as your co-workers and the company itself.
