Recently in my oral communication class, we learned that most communication does not depend on the actual content of what is said, but on the way we say it and the way we look while saying. I have not realized how important nonverbal communication is until I learned that and saw this infographic. I find it very surprising that during the interview, the things we say only makes up 7% of the impact. Another surprising fact was that a job interview lasts on average 40 minutes. The very few job interviews I have attended were definitely less than 10, granted they were not very demanding jobs but I was not expecting forty minutes for a real job. I am definitely glad I saw this infographic and hope others realize these things before going into an interview
