March is Women’s History Month. With the swirl of bad actors in the world, 2022 is especially important. Just think of the displaced young Ukrainian mothers and what they are going through. We offer this post in honor of the women in our lives. In my case, thank you Linda, Jennifer, and Stacey for all that you and have done.

March 2022: In Honor of the Women in Our Lives
Yesterday, March 8, 2022, International Women’s History Day was celebrated. USA Today reports that:
This year’s campaign theme— #BreaktheBias —spotlights the individual and collective biases against women that fuel gender inequality. “Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead,” the International Women’s Day Web site reads. “Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field. “Are you in? Will you actively call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping each time you see it?
In the United States, as Parade notes:
Women’s History Month first came to be as a national celebration in 1982 though the first celebration was Women’s History Week. A few years later, it expanded into a full month of honoring women’s roles in society, thanks to a petition from the National Women’s History Project, which led to the president proclaiming March of each year Women’s History Month.
According to the official Web site of Women’s History Month, “These proclamations celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields.”
