Glass Half Full Or Half Empty: Americans’ 2019 Expectations

As reported by Sarah Feldman for Statista:

“Americans are heading into 2019. By and large, they feel optimistic about what’s to come. According to a new poll by Survey Monkey, 6,000 U.S. adults were surveyed on their personal and political prospects for 2019. Three-quarters of respondents reported being more hopeful than fearful about their 2019 personal life. Despite that overwhelming majority, only half of respondents reported feeling more hopeful than fearful about what 2019 holds in store for the world at large.”

“When it comes to economics and politics, about two-thirds were optimistic that the U.S. economy was going to have a strong year. Only 43 percent of respondents predicted a good year for President Trump, roughly on-par with his approval ratings.”
