I don’t think competitors have a chance. If anything, competitors should have gone up against Apple back in 2005 when the iPod was first introduced, or even in 2007 when the iPhone was introduced. The iPhone showed great value to customers as it combined many different functions. That was the time for competitors to compete. Now, in my opinion, Apple is the tiger competitor, and it’s never smart to compete with one of those.
History shows that as the marketplace expands, the leader’s market share goes down — even if its sales continue to rise. Remember too, Droid phones have overtaken iPhones in sales. 🙂
