As we know, advertising media platforms keep evolving. Today, we look at 2019 advertising trends. And the continuing decline of traditional media. But, we still need to continue to be aware of the need to protect digital privacy.
Traditional Vs. Digital Media: 2019 Advertising Trends
“Directories, such as the Yellow Pages, will take the biggest hit — down 19% this year. Traditional print (newspapers and magazines) spending will run a close second, which will drop nearly 18%. Overall, traditional ad spending’s share in the U.S. will drop to 45.8% in 2019, from 51.4% last year.”
In 2019, eMarketer also projects that:
“Total digital ad spending in the US will grow 19% to $129.34 billion this year—54.2% of estimated total US ad spending. And mobile will continue its dominance, accounting for more than two-thirds of digital ad spending, at $87.06 billion this year. Also for the first time, the combined share of the duopoly (Google and Facebook) will drop, even as their revenues grow.”
Adds Jomer Gregorio, reporting for Business 2 Community
“From Web sites and native advertising networks to mobile messaging apps and social media platforms, it is without a doubt that the digital marketing landscape has grown diverse and touched new pinnacles of modernity. And now, for 2019, we can expect that more advanced platforms, technologies, and new strategies will come and change the way businesses promote and sell their brands and products on the digital realm.”
