During this period of thanksgiving, please consider the following: For the last several years, we have written about the importance of Small Business Saturday. It occurs on the Saturday of Thanksgiving Day weekend. At this time, shopping local is more important than ever. Therefore, please remember Small Business Saturday (SBS) 2020. Which occurs on November 28, 2020.
Don’t only shop at a chain store or online. In addition, shop locally. If you do, maybe the small firms you patronize will still exist in 2021. M-a-y-b-e.
More Than Ever: Remember Small Business Saturday 2020
Two big supporters of SBS 2020 are American Express and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Saturday, November 28, 2020 is Small Business Saturday. A day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. This year, we know small businesses need our support now more than ever. As they navigate, retool, and pivot from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Please join the SBA and organizations across the country in supporting your local small businesses by shopping at a small business.
Founded by American Express in 2010 and officially cosponsored by SBA since 2011, SBS has become an important part of small businesses’ busiest shopping season. According to the 2019 Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey, 70% of U.S. consumers know of Small Business Saturday.
The SBA, Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), and American Express will kick off the 2020 holiday season By encouraging consumers to support our nation’s nearly 32 million independent businesses on SBS and all holiday season.
