  1. Many talk of turkey, but I prefer the stuffing. Speaking of stuffing, turkey is still regularly bought outside of november and december, but what happens to companies that sell stuffing, or stuffing mixes? Do they just stop production? Is there a niche market of people who would like to often eat stuffing on the side with their meals?

  2. Happy Thanksgiving!!! I love being home around this time of year because everyone is so nice and genuine. I believe thanksgiving is the one holiday where people truly remember how grateful they are for people, things, work, etc. Other holidays like Christmas, people get too side tracked with receiving presents that they forget the real reason for the holiday. I am happy to home in a comfortable environment and hope everyone is enjoying their break!

  3. We do not celebrate thanksgiving in my country, but I have lived in the US for almost 4 years now and I can tell why it is such a special holiday for Americans. Although I still don’t celebrate it, I get to go back home and see my family and friends. It reminds me how grateful I am to have the opportunities I’ve had, and how grateful I am for the people that surround me. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving with their loved ones and ate way too much food!

  4. Thanksgiving should be celebrated as a special holiday! In today’s society everyone cares more about sales and shopping. Each year they open the malls earlier and don’t give their employees the time to have dinner with their family/ friends. I believe that it should go back to the way it used to be where people respected and valued family time more than shopping.

  5. Thanksgiving Is my favorite holiday. Its a time where my entire family gets together. Not only is it about the amazing food, but its just a time of the year where you can be thankful for everything thats happened. Also, black Friday is associated with Thanksgiving. Its a day in the year where everyone wants to shop because of the big sales that happen in many stores. I personally don’t go shopping on that day, but it is still a huge part of many families holiday.

  6. Thanksgiving is such a special time for many people. The main purpose of Thanksgiving is getting together with your family and spend quality time with them. I feel like as we all get older, the more important it gets. By being at school, I see my family a lot less than I used to and I love how we all are able to get together and catch up on each other’s lives. People often joke about how Thanksgiving is a time when family members ask you a million questions regarding your grades, social life, and everything else they can think of. While this can be annoying for some, it shows how much your family cares about you and wants to know about how your doing. While families also get together for Christmas, Thanksgiving is a much more relaxing time because nobody is stressed about getting each other gifts or such. For us college students, the few weeks after Thanksgiving are the most stressful time of the semester. Every class has large scale assignments due and finals that take a lot of time to study for. It’s important to not forget how grateful we are during this time of year. While school can be hard at times, we all should be thankful that we are given the opportunity to attend college as some people are not.

  7. Generally, my family does not celebrate Thanksgiving because we do not believe in having just one day to be extremely thankful for everything. Instead I was raised to be thankful every day and also my grandfather is Native American so we never considered celebrating it. Currently we do have a turkey dinner with my family because over the years we just started having Thanksgiving with friends and their families. I do appreciate that there is a day in which everyone can focus on being thankful for what they have and are given. I think the practice of Thanksgiving should continue on but it should being thankful should be more encouraged and incorporated into our daily lives.
