Unfortunately, another terrible tragedy struck yesterday, this time in Boston. Let us pull together and make today a good day. Smile at someone, reach out, be a friend, go on with your life, don’t let the bad guys win.
U.S. Senator Jack Reed of Massachusetts, who released a statement on Monday, put things in perspective about the explosions at the Boston Marathon: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and our heartfelt thanks go out to those first responders, medical personnel, volunteers, and citizens who were on the scene to help those in need.”
To quote Robert F. Kennedy, born in Massachusetts and himself the victim of a terrible act of violence: “Let us dedicate ourselves to what the Greeks wrote so many years ago: to tame the savageness of man and make gentle the life of this world.”

The explosions during the Boston marathon were horrifying for the marathon runners and onlookers. It is sad that we live in a world that people are afraid to fly and are now afraid to participate in a 117 year old tradition. We will remember and honor those who were lost yesterday, as well as the wounded. This tragedy was yet another that will pull our country together and make us stronger.
The bombings in Boston during the marathon were terrifying and extremely sad. It is horrible that we live in a world where going to school, flying, going to the movies, and even running a marathon can be dangerous. People should feel safe going about their daily activities. We should not have to fear being attacked at all moments. It is imporatant to remmeber and help all those affected during these terrible times. When things like this happens the country always comes together to help each other, and I am sure this time will be no different.
What a horrible and unexpected tragedy. My heart goes out to the Family and loved ones of those killed or injured. This is such devastating news. I thought we were over terrorism, taking prevantive measures to stop things like this happening.. Guess not. I didn’t know until later yesterday night. It proved a point to me though that sometimes ignorance is bliss. I went all day, without social medias (besides a little FB), didnt watch TV, the news.. Had a Great Day, then found out about this, and my day was ruined. Lets all try and follow the words of Robert Kennedy.. Don’t let the bad guys win… Tame the savageness of man and make gentle the life of this world..
What happened in Boston yesterday was truly a horrifying act against man kind, against the world. It concerns, yet amazes me what people think about when they decide that they want to harm another person. My mom texted me as soon as she became aware of the news on TV. I couldn’t believe it. These terror attacks are becoming too frequent. It trully disgusts me. I am thankful for the first responders and those who were willing to lend a hand when needed. Those are our heroes.
The bombings yesterday were a tragic reminder of the evil of some people. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of those affected. I do agree with Shannon though. In times of great tragedy the people of the United States always put aside differences and stand together.
Unfortunately this story hit close to home both literally and figuratively. As a Boston native, the events that occurred yesterday were and are extremely hard to believe. As much as it is difficult to understand why someone would do such a thing, I agree that we need to remember to be more compassionate towards others because life is too short. It is also amazing to me how much support the rest of the country has given to Boston and the victims of this horrible tragedy.
It saddens me that this is what our country and world is coming to. Things like this happen in other countries every day and when it hits home, you come to understand how real and scary it is. It is nice to see that there is good people in this world though and that so many people can come together when needed the most. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected and the city of Boston. Boston is a strong city and will pull through.
I am glad that the two suspects were caught. My prayers and sympathy goes out to everyone that was affected. We really need to appreciate everything that the police and fire departments and EMTs do for us. They are under-appreciated and risk their lives to make sure we are safe. Most of them are volunteers too, which makes what they do even more admirable. It is great to see that in tragedy, the nation is able to stand together and offer support to Boston.
I wasnt born in the United States of America, but when I first moved here, I lived in boston, and I spent 4 years there. In this country, boston is like my home town. very unfortunate for what happened at the marathon and the MIT shooting. Im so glad to see the whole country give that much support to Boston, even in our school had special event for this tragedy. My prayers goes out to everyone that was affected. Stay strong, we are all stand together.
