Personally I think any company trying to capitalize on The Snowden Effect (like Microsoft: http://www.economist.com/blogs/babbage/2014/01/internet-governance) should be punished because they are basically enabling a traitor and someone who had a job that was sensitive to national security and has the temerity to be defiant after blatantly disregarding his duties
I care privacy mostly. Actually, I chose Google beacuse Google sticked to customers’ privacy and pulled out the search service of china. I assumed Google is much safer than other searching engine.
This is an awesome slideshow! Combine the snowden effect and the future of internet, I think people may pay more attention on their virtual privacy. Like when I go through facebook page, I found the ad on the right side are all based on my preference or searching record, it reminds me that internet is not safe and i was wondering it was legal or not. To be honest, I don’t like this kind of ad marketing, although I indeed interested in those webpage, but i won’t click that because I feel like my privacy was violated.
The internet has become the most competitive battlefield in the world. New start-up companies were established almost everyday and plenty of them gain great successful with in few years. With the development of technology, there is great potential in the future of internet. Not only involved the enhancing of information security, but also includes many online apps that change the way of our daily activities.
