I find it very interesting that the top search rankings receive 40% of all clicks on Google. This shows that people really do follow the crowd and are likely to trust other consumers much more then just ads themselves. I myself look much more closely at the higher ranking search options when doing a search myself especially when doing online shopping. This was something I had not previously considered as a marketing tool when selling a product.
